On September 22nd, President Huang Tianwen attended the Frank Discussion Meeting on investment cooperation between Xi’an government and Central Enterprises, which was hosted in Beijing by Xi’an government. More than twenty chairmen of SOE supervisory board and more than forty leaders in charge of central enterprises attended the meeting, including Wu Xiaohua, deputy director of Stated-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC); Huang Danhua, secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection SASAC; Yuan Chunqing, vice secretary of Shannxi Provincial Party Committee and secretary of Xi’an Municipal Party Committee; and President Jiao Yian. Sinosteel Corporation Vice-president Jiang Hong, as well as leaders in charge of Investment Administration Dept. and Sinosteel Investment Company also attended the meeting.
Secretary Yuan Chunqing hosted the meeting. Sun Qingyun, mayor of Xi’an extended welcome to the investment from central enterprises. He introduced the social and economic development in Xi’an and promised preferential policy to the investment.
Leaders from Sinosteel Corporation, China Chongtong Group etc. addressed the meeting. President Huang Tianwen introduced the event of Sinosteel Corporation holding the Share in Xi’an Metallurgical Machinery Co., Ltd. He reported that Sinosteel Xi’an Heavy Machine Industrial Park would be built in Xi’an economic and technological developing zones. President Huang explained again the “triple wining” philosophy, which was expected to be beneficial to the development of Sinosteel Corporation, to the upgrading of local enterprises and core competence, and also to the prosperity of local economy.
Before the frank discussion meeting, a signing ceremony for the investment projects was held between Xi’an government and central enterprises. Vice-president Jiang Hong signed an agreement over the Park with Yue Junfeng, director of Xi’an economic developing zones.
According to the agreement, Sinosteel Corporation was provided an area of 1000 mu to build Xi’an Heavy Machinery Industrial Park after holding the share in Xi’an Metallurgical Machinery Co., Ltd.
