On the afternoon of Dec. 29, 2005, “2005 Sinosteel Customer/ Supplier Satisfaction Investigation Notifying Meeting” was held on the eighth floor of the headquarter. President Mr. Huang Tianwen attended the meeting and delivered important speech; vice president Mr. Jiang Hong hosted the meeting; vice president Mr. Li Zhimin and Secretary Mr. Shao Dianxiang attended the meeting. General manager of the Beijing IPSOS Market Consulting Co., Ltd. Mr. Li Hailan and research manager Mr. Zhang Xiaoxing notified the result of 2005 Sinosteel customer/ supplier satisfaction investigation. According to the arrangement of the 2005 Sinosteel Annual Meeting, from the April 2005, Sinosteel would assign Beijing IPSOS Market Consulting Co., Ltd. to conduct customer/ supplier satisfaction investigation. It takes half a year to finish the task. IPSOS Consulting is the third largest market research institute in the world with rich experience in satisfaction investigation. Its headquarter locates in France and with over 100 branches globally. According to IPSOS, Sinosteel is the first company in metallurgical industry that conducted customer/ supplier satisfaction investigation. During the 2-hour report, IPSOS informed the customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and supplier satisfaction of Sinsoteel Trading, Sinosteel Raw Materials, Sinosteel Iron & Steel, Sinosteel Shipping and Sinosteel Equipment; it also took Sinosteel Trading and Sinosteel Raw Materials as example to compare with Sinosteel’s competitors at home and abroad.
Finally, President Huang make an important speech on the satisfaction investigation. He pointed out that:
1. The whole Sinosteel should value customer/ supplier satisfaction investigation. Service is the life line of the enterprise. Much importance should be attached to building a good customer/ supplier relationship.
2. The result should be handled objectively. The investigation represents the real and objective situation, but different stands will lead to different conclusions. Where there is dissatisfaction, there is room to make progress.
3. The major five subsidiaries should bring the investigation result back for further analysis and put great effort to solve problems.
4. The Development and Management Dept. should sum up the experience, improve the work and do preparation for 2006 satisfaction investigation. In 2006, except for Sinsteel Assets Management Co., all the other specialized subsidiaries should conduct the satisfaction investigation. And the customer/ supplier should be further expanded for more objective and scientific research investigation.
Over 180 people vice GM and GM of the functional departments and subsidiaries in Beijing attended the meeting.
