On Nov. 9, the operation starting ceremony of Tianjin steel processing base project (first session) was held in Tianjin. The 8mm-26mm×2250mm hot coiling plate production line is the widest and thickest one with the largest production capacity. Tianjin vice secretary, vice-mayor of Tianjin Municipality Mr. Huang Xingguo attended the starting ceremony, met Sinosteel president Mr. Huang Tianwen, vice president Mr. Jiang Hong and other delegation members, and congratulated on the successful production start on behalf of the local government. About 150 people including Tianjin Municipal Government, Dongli District Government, CISA, supplying and sales departments of Anben Steel, Taiyuan Steel, customer representatives and journalists attended the ceremony. Sinosteel (Tianjin) Steel Processing Co., Ltd. is a joint venture co-established by Sinosteel Tianjin Company, Sinosteel International Ltd. and Tianjin Storage & Shipping Company, with a registered capital of CNY 40 million. To invest in establishing a large logistic trading base that integrates steel products sale, storage and processing is one of the important measures to raise the comprehensive auxiliary service capacity for steel industry, especially steel mills. With the rise of Bohai Sea Economic Zone and the implementation of eastward strategy of Tianjin industries, Sinosteel will hold the good opportunity of accelerating new coach area construction, participate in local economy construction and stress on investment to gain new bigger development with the support of local government.
