On Nov. 11, president Mr. Huang Tianwen met vice governor of Hebei Province Mr. Fu Shuangjian, secretary of Xingtai Mr. Dong Jingwei and Xingtai mayor Mr. Jiang Deguo. With the accompany of vice mayor of Xingtai and Standing Committee of Xingtai Mr. Wang Jinting, he visited Xingtai Mechanical Roll (Group) Co., Ltd. and Xingtai Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. and talked with chairman of Xingtai Mechanical Roll Mr. Zhao Jianpeng and chairman and general manager of Xingtai Steel Mr. Yuan Shizhen.Chairman of Xingtai Mechanical Roll Mr. Zhao Jianpeng introduced the general situation of Xingtai Mechanical Roll. It was established in 1958. In January 1993, approved by Hebei System Reform Commission, it was transformed into share-holding company limited. Mr. Huang also held discussion on strategic cooperation with Xingtai Steel chairman Mr. Yuan Shizhen. The two companies are very complementary in business. President Huang said the establishment of strategic cooperation relations with Xingtai is a new starting point of cooperation between Sinosteel and Hebei Iron & Steel Association. Hebei Province is one produces over 20% of the total steel quantity in China. Sinosteel would like to exert its advantage in comprehensive auxiliary service for the development of steel industry in Hebei and rise of the compatibility of steel enterprises.
