On the morning of July 28, Sinosteel and Anyang Iron & Steel Group Co. Ltd. (AISCO) held strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony in Beijing. On behalf of each side, Sinosteel president Mr. Huang Tianwen and AISCO chairman Mr. Wang Ziliang signed on the agreement. Sinosteel vice president Mr. He Lin, heads of Accounting and Finance Dept., Management and Development Dept., Sinosteel Trading, Sinosteel Raw Materials, Sinosteel Iron & Steel, Sinosteel Engineering, Sinosteel Shipping and Sinosteel Tendering attended the signing ceremony.
On the signing ceremony, president Huang Tianwen and chairman Wang Ziliang delivered speeches. Mr. Huang had a pleasant retrospect on the long-term friendly cooperative relationship between Sinosteel and AISCO. For all these years, both sides cooperated well on the basis of honest, trust and mutual benefit. Mr. Huang expressed his wish to carry out all-round and deep-level cooperation with AISCO to make up each other’s shortcomings and to realize win-win. Mr. Wang Ziliang congratulated on the successful signing of the agreement, he also would like to co-develop with Sinosteel and to promote the all-round and sustainable development of both companies.
Established in 1985, AISCO is a state-owned extra-large steel enterprise of China. With 40 years of development, its production capability is 5 million tons of steel, 4 million tons of iron and 3 million tons of steel products. The total fixed assets in 2004 is 14.03 billion yuan, revenue 16.3 billion yuan, benefit 638 million yuan. The products include rod, bar, plate, section, pipe, coking and ductile cast-iron pipe.
Besides, Sinosteel Trading Company and Angang Group International Trading Co. also signed Sino-Australian Channar Iron Ore Mine Long-Term Sale & Purchase Agreement.
