On the afternoon of May 9, Vice President Jiang Hong met Minister ICHIKI HAJIME and his delegation of Metals & Mineral Resources department of Japanese Marubeni Corporation in Sinosteel headquarters.
Vice President Jiang Hong warmly welcomed the delegation, he said Sinosteel always keeps a good strategic cooperation relationship with Japanese, and expressed his sincere gratitude on behalf of Sinosteel.
Minister ICHIKI HAJIME expressed his sincere gratitude to Sinosteel’s welcome, he introduced the operating development of Marubeni Corporation, and especially introduced on their overseas investment projects and the cooperation programming with Sinosteel, then expressed his wishes on further strengthen cooperation with Sinosteel on overseas resource operating exploitation.
Vice President Jiang Hong introduced Sinosteel’s three core businesses, corporation operating development surrounding specialization, internationalization, industrialization and informationization, and especially on the core projects of overseas resources exploitation in iron, chrome, manganese, and nickel. Vice President Jiang Hong pointed out that he wishes Marubeni Corporation will further expand and consolidate the communication and cooperation in more areas and on more diversified levels with Sinosteel on the base of the existed cooperation.
The delegation also including Minister GOTO YASUHIRO of Metals & Mineral Resources department of Marubeni Corporation (Beijing).
Heads of Development and Management Dept., International Cooperation Dept., Raw Materials Company, and Mining Company also attended the meeting.
