On the morning of May 8, 2007, the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation agreement between Sinosteel Corporation (Sinosteel) and Chinese Geophysical Society was held in Sinosteel headquarters. Sinosteel President Huang Tianwen and Chinese Geophysical Society President Professor Liu Guangding delivered addresses and signed on the agreement on behalf of each party.
Chinese Geophysical Society (CGS) is the first-class institution of China Association for Science and Technology. According to the development over sixty years, it was become the largest, and possessed a high standard on science organization in national geophysical science.
Sinosteel has devote to the national resources strategic repertory with CGS, establish the base of metallurgic raw material, which have enjoyed extensive cooperating opportunities and good prospect. The establishment of strategic cooperation partnership will effectively exert each other’s advantages and further consolidate extensive, all-round and deep cooperation to make up each other’s shortcomings, realize win-win and contribute to the sustainable, harmonious and healthy development of our national steel industry.
Before the signing ceremony, accompanied by President Huang Tianwen, Professor Liu Guangding and the delegation also visited Sinosteel exhibition room. And then also have had a brief meeting, and exchanged views on further cooperation.
