From April 21 to 24, 2005, Sinosteel vice president Mr. Dong Zhixiong attended the 2005 Boao Forum for Asia held in Hainan. During the forum, Mr. Dong received the interview from BBC and briefly introduced Sinosteel.
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Prime Minister of Malaysia, John Howard, Prime Minister of Australia, Wolfgang Schuessel, Chancellor of Austria, Hedayat Amin Arsala, Afganistan Vice President, Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, King of Nepal and Lee Kuan Yew, Minister Mentor of Singapore attended the annual forum. Those who attended the forum also include more than 1200 business leaders, ministerial officials and scholars.
The theme of the forum this year is “Asia Searching for Win-Win: New Role of Asia”. During the forum, representatives of leaders from the world, entrepreneurs and scholars discussed the economic cooperation among the countries and regions in Asia and searched for the effective way to co-develop in Asia.
