On the afternoon of April 29, Xu Siwei, President of Sinosteel Corporation, Chairman of Sinosteel Corporation Limited, accompanied by Wang Wenjun, Deputy General Manager of Sinosteel Corporation Limited, visited president of Chinese Academy of Engineering Zhou Ji, and they had a warm discussion on further deepening the communication and cooperation between two parties.
In the first place, President Xu thanked Chinese Academy of Engineering and President Zhou Ji for their continuous care and support for Sinosteel. He suggested that, since the signing of agreement on science and technology cooperation in 2009, a good cooperative relationship has been kept between two parties, and in 2010, activity of “Academicians’ trip to Sinosteel” jointed held in Ma’anshan City won great reputation and warm response. At present, Sinosteel is at the critical period of transformation and development: as there are a lot of premium technical resources to be developed and exploited, it’s hoped that, by virtue of numerous intellectual resources of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Sinosteel can be provided with help on policy consulting, technical diagnosis, academic and technical communication, cooperative research and development, etc, in order to improve science and technology innovative ability, and promote the sustainable development of Sinosteel.
President Zhou Ji expressed warm welcome to President Xu; he suggested, Sinosteel is the first enterprise that develops cooperation on science and technology with Chinese Academy of Engineering, and both parties felt happy about this. Chinese Academy of Engineering’s willing to help Sinosteel on its transformation and upgrading, and, it’s hoped that Sinosteel will also help Chinese Academy of Engineering have a better understanding of industrial needs. To be sure, cooperation between both parties will have a brighter future.
