On the morning of April 27, Party Secretary of Sinosteel Corporation and General Manager of Sinosteel Corporation Limited, Liu Andong,who resides in Zimbabwe for conducting survey work, and a group led by him, visited acting president of Zimbabwe Emerson Mnangagwa at the invitation, and personnel from two parties exchanged opinions on the operation and development of Sinosteel’s subsidiaries in Zimbabwe. And this activity was attended by Gong Jingsheng, Deputy General Manager of Sinosteel Corporation Limited.
General Manager Liu made introduction of the current situation of Zimasco Consolidated Enterprises Ltd.’s production and operation, as well as issues encountered. He suggested that, Zimasco Consolidated Enterprises Ltd. had actively taken a series of measures at a time of global economic downturn and enterprises having difficulties with their operation, with preliminary achievements made. And Sinosteel will continuously adhere to the principle of win-win, have a good operation of enterprises in Zimbabwe, so as to solidify and strengthen cooperation and friendship between China and Zimbabwe. While at the same time, it’s hoped that Acting President will provide help thereof as before.
Acting president Emerson Mnangagwa welcomed General Manager Liu and the group led by him, and highly praised Sinosteel for investment made and enterprises stationed in Zimbabwe, and their contribution to the social and economic development. He suggested that, the government of Zimbabwe pays high attention on the development of Sinosteel’s subsidiaries in Zimbabwe, and will focus on and support them in taking active and effective measures for overcoming difficulties encountered at present.
Relevant personnel of Sinosteel’s subsidiaries in Zimbabwe attended the meeting as well.
