On Nov. 11, Sinosteel Corporation signed strategic cooperation agreement with Xingtai Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. Vice governor of Hebei Province and Standing Committee of Hebei Provincial Committee Mr. Guo Gengmao, vice director of the provincial SASAC Mr. Gao Yongshen and vice mayor of Xingtai and Standing Committee of Xingtai Mr. Wang Jinting attended the signing ceremony. Sinosteel president Mr. Huang Tianwen and Chairman of the board, general manager of Xingtai Steel signed on the agreement on behalf of each side.The signing ceremony was hosted by vice mayor of Xingtai and Standing Committee of Xingtai Mr. Wang Jinting. Vice director of the provincial SASAC Mr. Gao Yongshen extended speech on behalf of Hebei provincial SASAC. In his speech, Mr. Huang pointed out that Sinosteel is a central enterprise under the administration of SASAC that integrates resource development, trade and logistics and engineering project and science & technology, providing comprehensive auxiliary service for steel industry, especially steel mills. With solid strength in resource, capital and technology, Sinosteel enjoys important influence and sound reputation. The friendly cooperation between Sinosteel and Xingtai Steel is a good measure of consolidating the win-win cooperation, promoting the win-win development of Sinosteel, Xingtai Steel and Hebei Province.
The strategic cooperation lies on establishing strategic cooperation of long-term stable and all-round cooperation and co-development. As the stable iron ore customer of Sinosteel, Xingtai Steel will get long-term stable iron ore resource. As the sales-agent for the steel products from Xingtai Steel, Sinosteel will get steel product resources according to Xingtai Steel’s sales policy.
