From April 20 to 23, as a member of the CCPIT entrepreneur representative delegation, Sinosteel president Mr. Huang Tianwen accompanied President of PRC Mr. Hu Jintao visiting Indonesia and attended the 2005 Asia-Africa Summit held in Jakarta.
Heads of state/governments who attended this summit mainly are: Chinese President Mr. Hu Jintao, President of Indonesia, Premier of Singapore, President of the Philippines, President of Pakistan, President of South Africa, Japanese Prime Minister and President of Nigeria. 12 domestic enterprises including Sinosteel, Poly Group, CREC, CNPC, Huawei Technologies and ZTE also attended this summit.
On April 21, Mr. Huang and other Chinese entrepreneur representatives and Indonesian entrepreneurs attended the large reception held by the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and they listened to President Hu Jintao’s speech—The Increasing Role of China in the World Globalization. After the reception, Mr. Huang and other Chinese entrepreneur representatives were warmly received by President Hu and they took a group picture together.
During Mr. Huang’s visit to Indonesia, he communicated with personnel from Indonesian industry and commerce and discussed on exchanges and cooperation.
