Recently, the second session of the first meeting of the Iron Ore Branch, CCCMC, and the India iron ore importing team meeting were held in Beijing. The meeting was hosted by Mr. Liang Ruodong, Chief Director of the CCCMC’s Mineral and Sources Department. Mr. Chen Haoran, president of CCCMC, and Mr. Yan Bangsong, vice president of CCCMC attended the meeting and delivered speeches. In their speeches, they mainly introduced the current economic situation in China and abroad and the series of macro-control measures implemented by the Central Government in order to prevent the economic overheat, and they stressed on the important function of the chamber of commerce in industry coordination.
On the meeting, after the voting by 25 iron ore branch directors, Sinosteel Corporation was elected the Company-General of the Iron Ore Branch, CCCMC, and the Chargehand of India Iron Ore Importing Team. China Minmetals Corporation, Baosteel International, Jinan Iron & Steel Group Corporation and China Shougang International Trade & Engineering Corporation were also elected the company-generals. Sinosteel first thanked the chamber of commerce and the other company-generals of the branches for their trust, and Sinosteel is responsible and qualified for the work. Under the coordination of CCCMC and with the help from the other company-generals, Sinosteel will try the best to standardize the iron ore operating regulations and to promote the healthy and ordered development of iron ore import.
