A group of eight persons lead by Mr Huang arrived on the evening of November 27 and began their one-week visit in India. The responsible persons from International Cooperation Dept., Sinosteel Trading and Sinosteel Shipping accompanied Mr Huang in the group. The purposes of Mr Huang’s visit to India this time are: first, to express gratitude to the Indian partners that cooperate with Sinosteel and to the responsible departments and friends that support Sinosteel for all these years; second, to further promote and intensify the cooperation between Sinosteel and Indian enterprises, especially the cooperation in the field of iron ore resources.On the evening of November 29, Sinosteel Corporation successfully held a grand reception in the Sheraton Hotel in New Delhi. This is the first time that Sinosteel held this kind of large-scale activity abroad. Mr. S. M. Dev, Mr. Zheng Qingdian, the Charge’d affairs, Mr. Liu Runing, commercial consular of Chinese embassy to India, and representatives from China Daily New Delhi Station, Federation of Indian Mineral Industries, 印度工业协会, MMTC (India) and famous Indian enterprises like 塔塔集团, altogether over 180 people attended the reception. On the reception, Mr Huang made a splendid public speech. The Minister of State Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises government of India and customer representatives made brief deliveries. The successful held of this reception shows the strength of Sinosteel, deepens the publication of the corporation image and wins the praise from the Indian representatives from all walks of life and Indian partners who attended the reception.
On the morning of 29, Mr Huang visited MMTC, the largest Indian ore trading company, and exchanged views with Mr Kappor, its boarding chairman, on the cooperation between Sinosteel and MMTC. Both sides expressed their intention on establishing and further expanding long-term cooperative relations and raised the solving principles and suggestions on the existing problems. Before that, Mr Huang also inspected Sinosteel Corporation Indian Representative Office, checked up on work and raised demands and guiding opinions on the future job in the Indian Representative Office.In the afternoon, Mr Huang went to the Chinese Embassy to India, introduced the restructure and business in Sinosteel to Mr Zheng Dianqing and Mr Liu Runing, and extended his thanks to the support and help from the embassy to Sinosteel Corporation for all these years.
