On November 18 and 19, 2004, Mr Tianwen Huang, president of Sinosteel Corporation, lead a group to visit Jinan Iron & Steel Group Corporation and signed a strategical cooperative agreement. Mr Lin He, vice president of Sinosteel, Mr Keqi Wang, president assistant, and the responsible persons from President’s Office, Management and Development Dept., Sinosteel Trading, Sinosteel Raw Materials, Sinosteel Iron & Steel, Sinosteel Engineering, Sinosteel Shipping, Sinosteel Investment and Sinosteel Tendering accompanied Mr Huang on the visit.
On the afternoon of November 18, on behalf of each side, Mr Huang and Mr Changshun Li, general manager of Jigang Group and party secretary, signed the strategical cooperative agreement. The persons attending the ceremony are: Mr Yanming Wen, Mr Jun Wang and Mr Zhangping Cai, vice general managers of Jigang Group, Mr Jiaxin Zhang, manager assistant and the responsible persons from the Group Office, National Trading, Sales, Raw Materials, Equipment Dept., Production Dept., Material Dept. and Tendering Office.
On the ceremony, on behalf of Jigang Group, Mr Changshun Li expressed their welcome for the visit of Mr Huang, and extended congratulations on the sincere and friendly cooperation between each side. Mr Li made a brief retrospection on the cooperating history with Sinosteel for recent years, and expressed appreciation on Sinosteel’s stressing on reputation and long-term cooperation. He said that Sinosteel, as an important international renowned enterprise in metallurgical industry, exhibits outstanding features and notable advantages in the sectors of personnel, resources, market and information. During operation, Sinosteel has established deep friendship with Jigang Group. Jigang Group and Sinsoteel have built strategical partnership, which is of important significance to the long-term development of both sides. He wished both sides cooperate in broader areas and on higher levels in future and advance hand in hand to create a beautiful future.
On behalf of Sinosteel, Mr Tianwen Huang, much appreciated, in his address, the support on business and cooperation from Jigang Group. He said that, as one of the national large-scale steel mills, through the development in these years, Jigang Group has gradually become the first class finery steel sheet production base of advanced level in China. The achievements of the management, innovative development and information construction of Jigang Group provides Sinosteel experience that merits attention. Through all these years, depending on metallurgical industry, in line with iron & steel production, Sinosteel provides professional service and has built long-term steady and sound cooperative relations with iron & steel producing enterprises. From this year, Sinosteel devotes major efforts to regulating the managing structure, raises the overall quality of the operators and practices the strategy of professional & internationalized operation to continue to provide qualified and efficient service for steel producing enterprises. Eight major business parts gradually take shape in Sinosteel; its developing trend is also good. The signing of the strategy this time marks the long-term overall strategical cooperative structure between the two sides take its initial step. It is sincerely hoped that Sinosteel and Jigang Group will broaden and expand their cooperation, make up each other’s shortcomings, realize mutual benefit and win-win situation and make new contributions to our nation in the future.
