In the morning of May 18th, 2009, China·Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair was held at Langfang International Convention and Exhibition Center, Sinosteel party secretary Zhang Hanguang was invited to attend the opening ceremony. Vice-Chairman of CPPCC, chairman of National Federation of Industry and Commerce Mr. Huang Mengfu, relevant state ministries, and leaders from six provinces around Bohai District attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony also attacked participants from more than 2000 central enterprise, World Top 500 enterprises, famous business institutions etc.
After the opening ceremony, deputy secretary of Hebei Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Hebei province, Mr. Hu Chunhua held a special meeting, discussing about future development with six main investors including Sinosteel. Mr. Hu Chunhua introduced the developing strategy, goal and detailed measures of Hebei province in the course of constructing of the coastal province's economic and social development.
During the meeting, secretary Zhang expressed gratitude to governor Hu, and reviewed the cooperation of Hebei province and Sinosteel. Secretary Zhang pointed out that as the largest iron and steel service provider, Sinosteel is committed to build itself into a modern manufacturing and service-oriented enterprise, which match closely with Hebei province’s strategic goal of vigorously develop modern services sector. Current cooperation between Hebei province and Sinosteel has been putting active influence to the local economy, and still enjoys a bright prospective of further development. Secretary Zhang expressed that hopefully Hebei province will continue in giving close attention to the cooperation projects, promoting the joint development and mutual benefit of both sides.
