Sinosteel Scie-Tech Development Company Siging MOU with Italian Ministry of Environment and Territory

On January 18, 2006, Sinosteel Scie-Tech Development Company and Italian Ministry of Environment and Territory (IMET) held a discussion and signed MOU. The signing marked that Sinosteel Scie-Tech carrying out long-term cooperation with IMET in energy saving, environmental protection and new energy development.     In line with global environmental protection responsibility, assisting China to realize sustainable development and promoting the cooperation between Italian environment enterprises with China, since 2000, IMET signed cooperating agreements with many Chinese government departments, such as State environmental protection administration of China, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Ministry of Science and Technology and National Development and Reform Commission. From the end of 2000, IMET, together with Chinese partners, has launched over 50 cooperating projects in China, covering many aspects in sustainable development.    

As Sinosteel’s main stage of scientific and technological service and new technology promotion, Sinosteel Scie-Tech Development Company will import Italian and internationally-advanced environmental technology, equipment and methods through the cooperation with IMET, which contributes to China’s sustainable development and Sinosteel’s new economic growth and healthy, sustainable and stable development.
