On the morning of May 18, president Mr. Huang Tianwen met 11-people delegation from Marubeni Corporation led by president Mr. Nobuo Katsumata.
First, Mr. Huang warmly welcomed the visit of Mr. Katsumata. He said Sinosteel and Marubeni had long-term friendly cooperative relations and mutual trust, and both sides realized win-win. Especially on March 1 this year, the signing of the long-term strategic cooperative agreement between Sinosteel and Marubeni marked the cooperation between the two sides advance to a new stage. Marubeni Corporation is one of the biggest corporations in Japan, enjoying important position in both domestic and international markets. For all these years, Sinosteel has been endeavoring to foreign economic and technological cooperation and communication; it is the raw material supplier and product agent for major Chinese steel mills, taking leading positions in the operation of iron ore, chrome ore, coke, fluorspar and manganese ore in China and having long-term stable supplying channel. Sinosteel and Marubeni have broad cooperating and developing perspective. With the effort from both sides, making up each other’s shortcomings will promote the long-term development of both parties and do contributions to the economic prosperity of China and Japan.
President Katsumata expressed his gratitude to president Huang for meeting Marubeni delegation while he was fully engaged in attending the Fortune Global Forum. He said Mr. Huang’s introduction on Sinosteel helped his better understanding of Sinosteel and strengthened their belief on furthering all-round and deep-level cooperation with Sinosteel. Having heard that Sinosteel has become strategic cooperative partners with CREC, CHEC, CDB and Exim Bank, Marubeni extended his warm congratulations. Marubeni would like to consolidate communications and discussion with Sinosteel, learn from each other and further cooperation, and Marubeni invited Mr. Huang to visit the headquarters of Marubeni Corporation when it is convenient.
The talk went on in a friendly atmosphere and completed successfully.
