On the afternoon of February 8, Sinosteel Corporation Ltd. Chairman Mr. Huang Tianwen and President Mr. Jia Baojun met with Mr. Jiao Youlun, Chairman of Taiwan Walsin Lihwa Company and his delegation in Sinosteel HQ. Mr. Xu Mang, Director of Economy Bureau, Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and Senior Staff Ms Cao Yuxi accompanied the visit.
Chairman Jiao and Director Xu visited Sinosteel Exhibition Hall in the company of Chairman Huang and President Jia. On the following meeting, Chairman Huang stated that Sinosteel had entered preliminary cooperation with Taiwan Walsin Lihwa in aspect of raw materials. This instructive partnership would enhance corporate strength and influence, and contribute to a peaceful and friendly cross-strait relationship.
Chairman Jiao thought highly of Sinosteel, for its enthusiastic donation to aboriginal Taiwanese and its leap-forward development during the years. He believed that the cooperation between Sinosteel and Walsin Lihwa would flourish in fields of market, technology and capital.
Director Xu expressed his appreciation of the cooperation between Sinosteel and Walsin Lihwa, two powerful companies in the Chinese Mainland and Taiwan. He stated that Sinosteel spearheaded the cooperation with Taiwan companies and that would turned out to be a great achievement.
Mr. Wen Decheng, Finance Director of Walsin Lahwa, Mr. Lin Dongben, Vice GM of Copper Dept. and Mr. Yuejun, Chief Representative of Beijing Office accompanied the visit.
Sinosteel Vice President Mr. Li Yi, Directorate’s Secretary and Director of Directorate’s Office Mr. Li Kejie and heads of related functional departments and specialized companies attended the meeting.
