On the morning of March 16, Xu Siwei, President of Sinosteel Corporation, Chairman of Sinosteel Corporation Limited, met with the visiting Cai Meifeng, Chinese Academy of Engineering academician and Beijing University of Technology professor at the group headquarters; both sides conducted friendly exchanges on cooperation in terms of metallurgy, mining and other aspects. Sinosteel Deputy General Manager Wang Wenjun and assistant general manager Lian Minjie attended the meeting.
President Xu firstly expressed a warm welcome for Cai's visit to Sinosteel and work guidance and sincerely thanked him for his concern and support to Sinosteel for a long time. President Xu introduced the development process of Sinosteel, main business and domestic and overseas mineral resources development, and hoped Academician Cai continues to provide professional and technical guidance for the development of steel, especially in the mining production at home and abroad, to help Sinosteel further strengthen technological innovation so as to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and improve competitiveness continuously.
Academician Cai Meifeng had understood detailedly Sinosteel's mining technology and production development situation at home and abroad, gave full affirmation for the modern technical level and the green ecological concept of relevant mines of Sinosteel, and expressed he would try his best to provide the feasible technical support to Sinosteel around actual demand of the mines.
Prior to the talks, President Xu Siwei accompanied academician Cai Meifeng to visit the Sinosteel's exhibition hall.
The head from Sinosteel Maanshan Mining Research Institute also attended the meeting.
