On August 17, the inaugural ceremony and the seminar on the development strategy of Sinosteel Luonai Materials Technology Corporation (“Sinosteel Luonai” for short) was held in Luoyang. It marked an important milestone in the reform and development of Sinosteel Luonai and an important progress in the shareholding reform and listing preparations of the company. It also laid a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the company.
Liu Wankang, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Luoyang, Xu Siwei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Sinosteel, and Liu Andong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Sinosteel, Gan Yong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of the National Expert Advisory Committee on New Materials, Wang Yunmin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ji Xiaogang, Deputy Director of the Reform Office of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, key clients of Sinosteel Luonai, and persons in charge of shareholders attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, Zhang Jingang, Deputy General Manager of China Baowu Steel Group, and Yu Xizhi, Vice President of Sinopec Group, delivered enthusiastic speeches as client representatives and congratulated Sinosteel Luonai on opening a new chapter in innovation development. Zhou Yubo, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of China Reform Holdings Corporation Ltd., Fu Tongxin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Luoyang Guohong Investment Group Co., Ltd., Zhang Zhixiang, Chairman of Jianlong Group, delivered speeches on behalf of shareholders. Fang Sheng delivered a speech on behalf of the Employee Stock Ownership Platform of Sinosteel Luonai. The speakers expressed their willingness to work with the company for a better tomorrow from a new starting point.
Sinosteel Luonai is a company initiated by Sinosteel with Guobai Shuangbai Development Fund Management Co., Ltd., Luoyang Guohong Investment Group Co., Ltd., Jianlong Group, Ningxia Pingluo Binhe Silicon Carbide Products Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Nandian Investment Holding Co., Ltd., and Tianjin Dingmaozhonghe Corporate Management Center (Limited Partnership). The first round of employee stock ownership subscription has been completed. Underpinned by technology, the company will be rooted on the high-temperature industry, moderately expand the strategic new material industry, build a service provider of integrated and comprehensive supporting refractory material system for the high-temperature industry that supplies system solutions in China, and strive to become a first-class manufacturer of refractory materials in pursuit of high-quality development.
At the conference, Sinosteel Luonai officially hired Academician Gan Yong as its chief scientist. Under the guidance of an expert team headed by Academician Gan Yong, the company will carefully develop a development plan for the “14th Five-Year” period, comprehensively improve its technological innovation capability, and try its best to establish a first-class advanced materials R&D system in the world.
Xu Siwei spoke on behalf of Sinosteel and expressed his sincere thanks to all units that have cared about and supported the reform and development of Sinosteel Luonai over the years. Later, the distinguished guests at the conference jointly inaugurated Sinosteel Luonai in warm applause.
