Sinosteel Delegation to Taiwan Gained Satisfactory Success

May 15th, Sinosteel delegation to Taiwan summarized its visit, returning to Beijing successfully, related leaders of SASAC and Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council also returned in the same day.

President Huang’s visit took place in the context of the improved relationship across the straits; it is the first delegation from Chinese Mainland to Taiwan since April 26th, the third meeting of ARATS and SEF Straits Exchange Foundation. The visit absorbed great attention of local society and media, generating a great number of reports and active reflections.

The delegation visited a number of Taiwan enterprises including, Formosa Plastics Group, Taiwan Cement Group, Walsin Lihwa, E-United Group, China Steel Corporation, Chi Mei Group, headquarter of Viking Group etc. as well as many industrial organizations, exchanging each other’s development updates while looking into future cooperation and communication.

During the visit, president Huang joined the news release conference held by Taiwan E-United Group, as well as receiving interviews of Taiwan ETTV, Great News, Commercial Times, Economic Daily News, as well as the vision of the magazine China News Agency etc., explaining the significance of the visit and expressing sincere hope for a broader scope of cooperation with Taiwan enterprises.

A common agreement was reached between the enterprises that with different advantages, the improvement of the relationship across the straits could generate more space for cooperation. The investment of chinese mainland enterprise will surely promote joint development, contributing to the vitality of enterprises, and therefore combating the financial crisis and the recovering of macro economy.
