May 16th, a Middle-level cadre meeting was held in Sinosteel headquarters, with the attendance of Mr. Jin Yang, deputy director of SASAC and Mr. Jiang Zhigang, Director of the Second Bureau for the Administration of Corporate Executives of SASAC. All executives of Sinosteel Corporation and Sinosteel Corporation Limited, functional Heads, Managing Directors of Sinosteel’s subsidiaries, and the Independent Directors of Sinosteel Corporation Limited attended the meeting. Mr. Zhang Hanguang, party secretary of Sinosteel Corporation, hosted the meeting.
Mr. Jiang Zhigang, Director of the Second Bureau for the Administration of Corporate Executives of SASAC announced position adjustment appointments made by SASAC and Party Committee of SASAC, regarding Mr. Jia Baojun and Mr. Huang Tianwen. Mr. Jia Baojun was appointed as the President of Sinosteel Corporation, and deputy party secretary. Mr. Huang Tianwen relieves from the current position as the President and Deputy Party Secretary of Sinosteel Corporation.
Deputy Director Mr. Jin Yang affirmed the achievements made by Sinosteel Corporation during the past few years in the process of reform and development, and stated that this appointment was made upon the need of current works, and Sinosteel Corporation should make further endeavors in accordance with the following requirements: Firstly, to enhance the company’s current production and management effectively, try to solve the problems in a stable way, promoting the healthy and sustainable development of Sinosteel Corporation; Second is to further establish the modern enterprise mechanism, a standardized, efficient and scientific decision-making and operational mechanism which in lines with the global leading standards; Thirdly, adhere to the “Four Good” standard, strengthens leadership building, and to enhance the cohesion and effectiveness of the leading bodies.
Last but not least, Deputy Director Mr. Jin Yang stressed that SASAC holds full expectation to the future development of Sinosteel Corporation, and believes that the leading bodies of Sinosteel Corporation will implement the decisions made by SASAC thoroughly, and continue to lead operational works forward, towards a new situation of production and management.
Participants of the meeting expressed that they will firmly support and obey the decisions made by SASAC. Currently, the overall operation of Sinosteel is in good condition. Both business scale and benefits achieved better results over the same period in recent years. Sinosteel Corporation has the determination and confidence to fulfill the requirements made by SASAC, to ensure current operational condition, nurturing world-class business goals. All bodies of Sinosteel will work united and pragmatically, to realize the sustainable and healthy development of Sinosteel Corporation through scientific approaches.
