In the morning of August 1st, the Inaugural Ceremony & 50 Years Anniversary of Bayi manganese ore grandly held in Laibin of Guangxi, marking a new era for former Bayi Group Corporation. Chairman Huang Tianwen of Sinosteel Corporation Limited, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Mr. Peng Zuyi, and related leaders witnessed the important moment together. Former Bayi Group Corporation is the largest ferroalloy production base in Guangxi, with a annual production ability of 300 million tons, ranking the first in Manganese Ferroalloy counterparts. To further the integration of upstream and downstream industry chain while promoting the structural upgrade of China Ferroalloy Industry, Sinosteel actively negotiated on the reorganize of Bayi Group Corporation, and successfully reached a framework agreement with Laibin government. On May 6, 2009, the two parties signed formal reorganization agreement.
