On the afternoon of June the 19th, Vice Chairman of the Ninth and Tenth National People’s Congress Standing Committee, Honorary Chairman of China International Institute of Multinational Corporations Mr. Cheng Siwei visited Sinosteel. Chairman Huang Tianwen and Secretary Zhang Hanguang, Vice-President Liu Andong, Li Yi, Gong Jingsheng, Wang Wenjun, Wu Yongsheng of Sinosteel Corporation Limited met with Chairman Cheng Siwei in the headquarter of Sinosteel.
Chairman Cheng Siwei, accompanied by Chairman Huang Tianwen and Secretary Zhang Hanguang, visited Sinosteel Exhibition Hall cheerfully, and conducted communication with Chairman Huang regarding some forefront issues. Chairman Huang also visited Sinosteel Informationization Computer Room.
After the visit, the two sides held talks. Chairman Huang introduced that with the help of national macro-economic situation and the rapid development of iron and steel industry, Sinosteel gained rapid development in recent years, realizing the strategic re-positioning from a traditional trading house to a modern production-oriented service producer. Sinosteel possess rich experience and techniques in the field of mineral recourses development, and is willing to further enrich the experiences and techniques for long-term development.
Chairman Cheng Siwei gave full recognition to the development of Sinosteel, and offered detailed suggestions regarding three fields, namely strategy of going global, optimize development mode and CSR. He stated an enterprise that wants to participate in economic globalization must go global. He praised Sinosteel’s current experience in overseas market, and affirmed Sinosteel’s development strategy as a production-oriented service producer.
Chairman Cheng Siwei also encouraged Sinosteel for its CSR related works. In his point of view, the satisfaction of customers and social supports rate significantly for enterprise development. In the course of developing overseas business, Sinosteel has attached great importance to local community building and social welfare, optimized social benefit, and therefore realized long term healthy development of enterprise.
