On May 20, president Mr. Huang Tianwen led a delegation to Tianjin and Tangshan to visit Luanhe International Investment Development Holding Co., Ltd., and signed strategic cooperative agreement. Heads of President’s Office, Accounting and Finance Dept., Management and Development Dept., Sinosteel Trading, Sinosteel Raw Materials, Sinosteel Iron & Steel, Sinosteel Engineering, Sinosteel Investment, Sinosteel Shipping and Sinosteel Tendering accompanied on the visit. On the morning of 20, the 13-people delegation led by Mr. Huang went to Ninghe, Tianjin and Kaiping, Tangshan and visited Hangu Iron & Steel Company and Hongda Iron & Steel Company under Luanhe International in the company of Mr. Yao Xiaodong, Chairman of Luanhe International. Luanhe International is a comprehensive civilian-run group enterprise mainly engaged in the development of metallurgical and mineral resources. For over a decade, it has conducted profitable investment and operation in domestic & overseas resource development, steel industry, construction materials, commodity trade and real estate, making rapid progress. It has now become one of the important civilian-run companies in China, having certain influence and reputation in the industry, the main products competitive in market and having won many social prizes. On the afternoon of 20, president Huang Tianwen and Chairman Yao Xiaodong signed strategic cooperative agreement on behalf of each side. On the signing ceremony, Mr. Yao, Chairman of Luanhe International, said they would be glad to become the strategic partner with Sinosteel as it is a large central enterprise under the administration of SASAC. Luanhe International wishes to further consolidate the cooperation and communication within the framework set in the agreement, be honest and promote the co-development of both parties. Mr. Huang pointed out in his speech that the two sides set up partnership and signed the agreement in the principle of honesty, equality, win-win and co-development. We establish for sure the good wish for further cooperation and lay solid foundation for strengthening on diversified, all-round and deep cooperation on raw material supply, product sale, engineering technology, logistic service, resource development and capital employment, laying important influence on the current operation and long-term development. Mr. Zhang Yu, mayor of Tangshan, attended the signing ceremony; and on behalf of Tangshan Municipal Governement, he warmly congratulated on the establishment of Sinosteel-Luanhe International strategic partnership and thanked Sinosteel for its economic support for Tangshan. He sincerely hoped that both sides would further cooperation and realize mutual benefit, contributing to the economic prosperity and development in Tangshan.
