Dec. 20, Mr. Huang Tianwen, Chairman of Sinosteel Corporation Ltd. attended the award ceremony of “100 Personages in China Economy & Top 100 Chinese Brand” and “4th Social Responsibility Award”, which were part of the Election of Spectacular Economic Events for 60th Anniversaries of People’s Republic of China. Chairman Huang was titled Ten Economic Personages of the Year 2009.
This election, jointly organized by Renmin Net and China Economic Weekly and supported by People’s Daily Overseas Edition, high-class academic institutions and renowned media, was aiming at eulogizing entrepreneurial spirit and advertising corporate brand value.
Based on features of “influence, motive force and creation”, this activity organized ballot on Renmin Net and China Economic Weekly in September, with profiles of 400 entrepreneurs, 50 scholars and 400 renowned brands as candidates attached. Through months of statistic analysis, questionnaire & survey and expert’s demonstration, 11 prizes rose into view. Mr. Huang Tianwen, Chairman of Sinosteel Corporation Ltd., Mr. Ning Gaoning, Chairman of COFCO, Mr. Zhu Min, Vice President of The People’s Bank of China etc were titled “Ten Economic Personages of Year 2009” .
Chairman Huang expressed his honor and gratitude to the organizer, experts and netizens, for their trust and support to Sinosteel. He said that in the era of Chinese economy soaring, Sinosteel would shoulder its responsibility and exert itself to make more contribution to the society.
The prizes reflected the development trend of Chinese enterprises and Chinese economy, and gave heading directions to the industry, which would produce profound influence on Chinese economy.
