Public Notice: CSGC to be Renamed Sinosteel

September 18, 2004Notice is hereby given that China Iron & Steel Industry & Trade Group Corporation, abbreviated as CSGC and approved by the State-owned Assets Supervision & Administration Commission of the State Council and the State Administration for Industry & Commerce of China, is changing its name to Sinosteel Corporation, which is abbreviated as Sinosteel.

Effective on September 18, 2004, all of the “China Iron & Steel Industry & Trade Group Corporation” seals will be officially replaced by “ Sinosteel Corporation” seals in function. Sinosteel Corporation will take all the assets, liabilities, businesses, rights and obligations related to China Iron & Steel Industry & Trade Group Corporation’s business. No variation will occur in business scope, legal representative, ownership structure and office location.
