COSCO General Manager Li Yunpeng Visits SinoSteel Corporation

    On the afternoon of January 26, Mr. Jia Baojun, President and Board Chairman of SinoSteel Corporation, and Mr. Xu Siwei, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of SinoSteel Corporation, met Mr. Li Yunpeng, General Manager of China Ocean Shipping Group Company and his delegation at the Group’s Headquarters. The two sides had cordial and friendly exchanges on matters related to further cooperation and win-win development and extended their New Year greetings. Mr. Ye Weilong, Deputy General Manager of China Ocean Shipping Group Company also attended. 

    Jia extended warm welcome to his guests. He said over the years both sides had had close cooperation in imported iron ore transport and other logistics business. He expected both sides could enhance exchanges, seize business opportunities, expand cooperation, make full use of the advantages of COSCO in cargo logistics to achieve long-term win-win development and make due contributions to national economic development. 

    Xu said over the years SinoSteel Corporation had attached great importance to cooperation with COSCO, establishing sound relationship in the long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation. He expected the two sides could have closer contact, make project matching, and lay a good foundation for cooperation in related business. 

    General Manager Li Yunpeng said that as central enterprises, both sides would further cooperation and make contributions to corporate sustainable development. COSCO would like to give full play to its strength, provide system optimization solutions to the logistics operations of SinoSteel Corporation, help to reduce logistics costs, improve operational quality and steadily advance related projects, explore long-term and stable business models to achieve mutual development. 

    After the meeting, the guests visited the showroom of SinoSteel Corporation accompanied by Mr. Jia Baojun and Mr. Xu Siwei.
