From January 29 to February 3, President Xu Siwei and his team had investigated and surveyed work in Cameroon and Turkey: in Turkey, they inspected the deepwater port project at Climbie, went to the exploration site of Robbie iron core, mainly heard work report of 2014 by personnel from SinoSteel Cameroon Co., Ltd. and speculation on work plan for the next stage, as well as made communication with Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon & Economical and Commercial Counselor on the current situation of Chinese funded enterprises’development in Cameroon; in Turkey, they heard report on the construction of SinoSteel’s overseas projects and visited TOSYALI Company, which is their important customer, with expected result of investigation and survey achieved. And this series of work was accompanied by Deputy General Manager of SinoSteel Co.,Ltd.,Gong JingSheng, and head of DongYue Company.
While visiting Climbie on January 30,after investigating and surveying the deepwater port project, President Xu and his team drove to site of Robbie iron core, where they conducted field investigation on conditions of its surrounding infrastructure, had a detailed understanding of exploration history and achieved results, as well as heard main contents and relevant technical and economical indexes of pre-feasible study report, at the same time, they looked at drill core store for field exploration and living facilities, and conducted an in-depth research on such items as resource reserves, development prospects and condition of supporting water and power supply of Robbie iron core.
On January 31, President Xu and his team visited Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon, Wei Wenhua, and Economical & Commercial Counselor, Gao Yongqin, at Yaounde, capital of Cameroon. President Xu introduced production and management status of SinoSteel, especially the development of overseas resource development in implementing the“go-global”strategy, while on the other hand, he had a detailed understanding of political & economical environment of Cameroon and current development situation of Chinese funded enterprises in Cameroon, and exchanged opinions on matters of investment in Cameroon with above two ambassadors.
After hearing report from personnel of SinoSteel Cameroon, President Xu fully affirmed large amounts of work done by them on preserving mining right, completing feasible study report and so on, and raised requirements on following work.
On February 2, President Xu and his team visit their important customer TOSYALI Company at Istanbul of Turkey, and they had an in-depth exchange with Chairman of FUAT TOSYALI and CEO of SUHAT. President Xu gave thanks for great support exerted by TOSYALI Company towards project team of SinoSteel Equipment＆Engineering Company and mutually beneficial cooperation, which is of fruitful achievements, and he expressed the hope for both parties to further strengthen cooperation and friendship on a broader base. While Chairman of TOSYALI Company warmly welcomed the visit of President Xu and his team, expressed that they pay high attention to the cooperation with SinoSteel and friendship between both parties. He gave a high evaluation on professional service provided by project team of SinoSteel Equipment＆Engineering Company, being willing to further strengthen the comprehensive cooperation with SinoSteel. And this meeting improved mutual understanding, enhanced friendship and deepened cooperation between both parties.
Besides, President Xu and his team also made a visit to Representative Office of SinoSteel Equipment＆Engineering Company in Turkey, where they had a detailed understanding of SinoSteel Equipment＆Engineering Company’s projects in Turkey and their construction. President Xu, in representative of the leadship, expressed sincere thanks to overseas staff for their hard work done over many years, and highly evaluated the good performance of SinoSteel Equipment＆Engineering Company achieved on exploring overseas markets. And he pointed out that, with sustained downtown of global macro economy and increasingly fierce competition of overseas engineering market, it is necessary, on one hand, to be based on metallurgical industry, which will have radiating effects on other industries, and develop business throughout the world for gaining more market shares, in order to create an international first-class engineering company with unique characteristics, while on the other, it’s necessary to be based on both domestic and foreign markets, combining market advantage and conducting local management, so as to improve the ability of resources integration in the whole world.
President Xu emphasized multiple times in the process of investigation and survey that, the development of company is inseparably connected with implemented talent cultivation policy. In the future, the company will continue to increase policy support for supporting the development of SinoSteel’s overseas business. At the same time, overseas enterprises should make full use of the amplification effect of capital market and gave more reasonable returns to investors, so as to realize a stable and long-term development of SinoSteel on the basis of mutual benefit and win-win.
