On the afternoon of February 2, President Huang Tianwen met with Tsinghua University delegation led by Academician Pan Jiluan in Sinosteel headquarter. Both parties exchanged views on the issues of the current situation of heavy machinery and industrial development, and had achieved common view on related cooperation.Firstly President Huang warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his sincere gratitude to the concern, support and help from Tsinghua University for all these years. He introduced Sinosteel’ s developing history, enterprise orientation, development strategic, five industries, strategic cooperation, developing goals, and effectively measures taken by Sinosteel to deal with the world financial crisis. Sinosteel would like to further expand and promote on the cooperation with Tsinghua University on the existed cooperation foundation of science & technology so as to create new contributions for national economic and social development.
Academician Pan Jiluan expressed that this trip to Sinosteel, he learn a lot of new things, understanding of the strength of Sinosteel, and Sinosteel played an important role in the rapid development of Chinese iron & steel industry, admiring on the remarkable achievement made by Sinosteel on its reform and development. He said Tsinghua University has kept close business cooperation relationship with Sinosteel, and would like to further expand and strengthen on the cooperation with Sinosteel so as to realize the outcome of technical r & d and industrialization of the organic integration.
The entourage also included Director Zeng Pan, Professor Yan Yongnian and Professor Zhang Renjie.
Before the meeting, Academician Pan and his entourage visited Sinosteel exhibition room.
