On October 30, the 'Twelfth Five-Year' National Science and Technology Support Program- 'Research And Application on Key Technology for Efficient Development of Deep Poverty Mixed Iron Ore Resource' topic progress coordination meeting organized by Sinosteel was held successfully in the headquarters of Sinosteel. The five topics units from Sinosteel Maanshan Institute of Mining Research Co., Ltd., Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute Process Engineering Institute, China Iron and Steel Research Institute Group and Northeastern University with a total of more than 20 people attended the meeting. On the meeting, announced were the progress in the topic implementation, implementation and headway of demonstration projects, obtaining and transforming periodical scientific research outcome, the use of funds and future work plans, and the problems encountered during project implementation and solutions were exchanged discussed.
The program aims for the technical problems encountered in the development of deep poverty mixed iron ore resources of our country, and strive to efficient development and utilization of deep poverty mixed iron ore resources, which is the important guarantee to solve the shortage problem of metallurgical mineral resources in our country and ensure our long-term effective supply of iron ore to meet the sustained and healthy development of the steel industry and has far-reaching importance for the development of our deep, complex and difficult mining iron ore resource.
Since the program is implemented 2012, Sinosteel and the topic units attaches great importance to the program by the joint efforts, the current progress of each topic is basically smooth. In the mid-term examination of resource exploration and 18 development projects organized by Science and Technology Ministry, the program achieved good result of the 5th place. With the opportunity of this topic progress coordination meeting, Sinosteel will further strengthen the organization and management of the program, work together with the topic research units to promote the smooth acceptance of the program, and expect the research findings of the program topic can produce positive leading role for technological innovations of the industry.
