On the morning of July 15, the signing ceremony of strategic cooperative agreement between Sinosteel and University Of Science and Technology Beijing (abbreviated as USTB) is held in USTB conference center. Sinosteel President Huang Tianwen and USTB President Xu Jinwu deliver speeches and sign on the agreement representing two sides.
With a history of over 50 years, USTB is proven to be a national key university that focusing on science while diverse disciplines developing side by side. Over the years, in accordance with the university spirit of meticulous scholarship and valid practice, USTB has accumulated strong faculty and academic strength. It has made great achievements in talents training, scientific research, realization of research findings etc. Several national key disciplines in USTB such as metallurgy, materials science, mechanism and mining have long enjoyed fame both at home and abroad.
Over the years, as a major origin of Sinosteel personnel, USTB has delivered a good many graduates to Sinosteel, some of whom are playing important roles in corporate production, operation, management, scientific research etc. In virtue of this strategic cooperative partnership, Sinosteel will further exert its advantages in resources, capital, marketing, industrial production, global-running sales network etc, make full use of the basic research capability and talents training system in USTB, and establish a technology innovation system that linking industry, science and research with joint effort. It is not only a measure implementing the spirit of National Science & Technology Conference, but also a strategic option aiming at enhancing mutual core competence and seeking leap-forward development.
