  Properties of China Metallurgical Mining Corporation, China International Thermal Energy Engineering Company, China Sunrise Investment Group, Zhongjing Industrial Develop Corporation and Jingxiang Estate Development Company were transferred to Sinosteel from SASAC Bureau Service Center.

  Sinosteel reorganized Jilin Xinye Equipment Co., Ltd., which was renamed as Sinosteel Jilin Electro-Mechanical Equipment Co., Ltd

  Sinosteel reorganized Xingtai Mechanical Roll Co., Ltd., which was renamed as Sinosteel Xingtai Machinery & Mill Roll Co., Ltd.

  Sinosteel reorganized Hengyang Non-ferrous Metallurgical Machinery Company, which was renamed as Sinosteel Hengyang Machinery Co., Ltd.。

  Sinosteel held share of Luoyang Refractory Co., Ltd., which was renamed as Sinosteel Luoyang Refractory Co., Ltd.

  Sinosteel held share of Xi'an Metallurgical Machinery Co., Ltd., which was renamed as Sinosteel Xi'an Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd.

  Aug.

  China Iron & Steel Trade and Industry Group Corporation was renamed as Sinosteel Corporation.

  Apr.

  The State Council authorized the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission to perform the investor's responsibilities.

  Jul.

  Hebei Metallurgical Design and Research Institute joined Sinosteel, and was later renamed as Sinosteel Engineering Design & Research Institute.

• 1999

  June.

  Six institutes: Anshan Research Institute of Thermo-Energy, Zhengzhou Research Institute of Steel Wire & Steel Wire Products, Luoyang Institute of Refractories Research, Maanshan Institute of Mining Research, Wuhan Safety & Environmental Protection Research Institute and Tianjin Geological Academy were assigned to join Sinosteel

  Jan.

  China Iron & Steel Trade and Industry Group Corporation was separated from the State Administration of Metallurgical Industry and was put under the administration of the central government.

  Dec.

  China Metallurgical Equipment Corporation, Metallurgical Steel Economic and Technology Development Corporation and China Metallurgical Technology Corporation were assigned to join Sinosteel.

• 1993

  Feb.

  Approved by the Economic and Trade Office of the State Council, Sinosteel was established, composing China Metallurgical Import & Export Corporation, China Metallurgical Raw Materials Corporation, China International Iron and Steel Investment Corporation and China Metallurgical Steel Materials Processing Corporation.
