Li Rongting Leads Delegation to Visit Eramet Group

Recently, Li Rongting, Deputy General Manager of Sinosteel Group, led a delegation to visit the headquarters of Eramet Group, one of the world's largest manganese ore producers. The delegation held in-depth discussions with Paul Desports, Vice President of Eramet, and Arnaud Vigier, Global Sales Director of manganese ore, regarding comprehensive cooperation across the manganese product industry chain. They also negotiated the upcoming annual cooperation agreement and conducted field research at Comilog, a manganese mining company under Eramet Group.

During the visit, Li Rongting expressed gratitude for Eramet Group's invitation and introduced Sinosteel Group's customer-centric business philosophy that pursues win-win development. He reviewed the history of manganese ore business cooperation between the two parties. Li noted that after years of cooperation in manganese ore, Sinosteel has become one of Eramet Group's largest manganese ore customers in China. He expressed hope that both parties would strengthen cooperation in minor metal resources such as nickel ore while deepening their existing partnership in the manganese industry chain, and jointly explore cooperation potential in mine construction and metallurgical equipment manufacturing. Paul Desports warmly welcomed Li Rongting's visit and introduced Eramet Group's basic profile. He explained that Eramet Group is one of the world's largest producers of high-grade manganese ore and refined manganese alloys, owning the world's largest high-grade manganese mine in Gabon. The group's business extends to water-quenched nickel in New Caledonia, high-nickel iron in Indonesia, and lithium carbonate in Argentina, with operations across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas, sharing many synergies with Sinosteel Group's minor metals resource business.

Subsequently, Li Rongting's delegation conducted an in-depth inspection of Eramet Group's mines, smelters, and ports, focusing on Comilog's manganese mining and logistics operations to gain a thorough understanding of its operational status and management model. This research visit played a positive role in securing stable supply of mainstream manganese resources for Sinosteel Group, serving the extension and expansion of domestic and international manganese industry chains, and deepening cooperation with leading resource suppliers.

Relevant executives from Sinosteel International Trading Company participated in the research visit.
