On December 31, 2019, Sinosteel Maanshan General Institute of Mining Research Co., Ltd. (“Sinosteel MGIMR” for short) was officially inaugurated. Qian Shaquan, Deputy Secretary of the Maanshan Municipal Party Committee, Wang Wenjun and Gong Jingsheng, leaders of Sinosteel, Wang Yunmin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chief expert of Sinosteel, Xu Chuanhua, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Sinosteel MGIMR, Zhang Bangyan, shareholder representative and General Manager of Jiangdong Holding Group, and Zhang Zhiwu, Deputy General Manager of Anhui Yangtze River Technology Co., Ltd., attended the inauguration ceremony. Xu Xiuping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Sinosteel MGIMR, presided over the ceremony.
Gong Jingsheng first read out the approval document from Sinosteel on the establishment of Sinosteel MGIMR. Xu Chuanhua said in his address that the founding of Sinosteel MGIMR sets a broader stage for a new round of innovative transformation and high-quality development and that Sinosteel MGIMR will take the “Double-Hundred Action” as an opportunity to continue various innovative transformation measures and make new contributions to the high-quality development of regional economy and the enterprise. Later, the shareholder representative Zhang Zhiwu and the Employee Stock Ownership Platform representative Guan Xijun gave enthusiastic speeches, respectively.
In his speech, Wang Wenjun showed his sincere thanks to the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government of Maanshan and all the shareholders for their support, and greeted all the cadres and employees of Sinosteel MGIMR cordially. He said that the establishment of Sinosteel MGIMR is an epoch-making milestone and a piece of good news in the development history of MGIMR. He encouraged the cadres and employees to keep in mind the responsibilities and missions of state-owned enterprises, to take the national and social responsibilities of central enterprises as their own, and to forge ahead for more achievements in a new journey.
Qian Shaquan warmly congratulated on the establishment of Sinosteel MGIMR on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government of Maanshan. He hoped that Sinosteel MGIMR will make use of its technological talents and advantages, better fit in the overall development of the city, and make new and greater contributions to the economic and social development of the city. He promised that the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government will, as always, value, care for, assure, and enrich business and provide support as much as possible and comprehensive quality services for the development of Sinosteel MGIMR.
Later, “Sinosteel Maanshan General Institute of Mining Research Co., Ltd.” was inaugurated with the warm applause of the guests.
