On the afternoon of February 11, Mr. Xu Siwei, Secretary of the Party Committee of and General Manager of SinoSteel Corporation met Mr. Hans Mende, President of American Metals & Coal International Group and other delegate at the Group’s Headquarters. The two sides had cordial and friendly exchanges concerning cooperation. Mr. Wu Yongsheng, Deputy General Manager of SinoSteel Corporation also attended the meeting.
Xu said that over the years American Metals & Coal International Group had accumulated rich experience in overseas mineral resources investment and development and its investment philosophy and management models were worth learning. With the highly complementary main businesses and resource endowments and great potentials for cooperation, Xu expected that each side could further enhance communication and expand cooperation areas.
Mr. Hans Mende detailed his group’s development, resource investment and capital operation. He said his group and SinoSteel Corporation had great potentials for cooperation in overseas resource development and commodity trade. With the complementary advantages, he hoped that both sides could actively explore diverse ways of pragmatic cooperation and seize market and industry development opportunities to achieve mutual benefits and win-win cooperation.
