From 27th to 28th September, sponsored by World Economic Forum, Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2008 held in Binhai International Convention & Exhibition Center, Tianjin. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao attended the meeting and made an opening statement. There were over 1500 delegates from 90 countries from around the world and regional dignitaries, government officials, leaders of growth companies, young scientists, senior media experts and scholars participated in the meeting.The WEF was founded in 1971 in Geneva with a commitment to improve the state of the world. The annual Davos meeting sees business and political elites from around the world gather at the beginning of each year to gauge the global economic outlook and to discuss global issues.
During the meeting, Premier Wen Jiabao met with President Huang Tianwen and other representatives of the entrepreneurs; as the invitation of the organizing committee of the dialogue guests, he participated in the theme discussion of global growth companies to global corporate citizen.
During the meeting, President Huang also met with Robert Greenhill, Managing Director and Chief Business Officer, World Economic Forum.
Heads of Development & Management Dept, Sinosteel Tianjin Co, Sinosteel Shipping & Forwarding Tianjin Co and Sinosteel International Plaza Tianjin Co also attended the meeting.
