On 8th October 2008, the South African Investment Seminar held in Bejing, Honourable Ambassador Ndumiso Ntshinga, South Africa’ s Ambassador to the People’ s Republic of China and Honourable Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Davies; Ministry of Commerce of People’ s Republic of China Assistant Minister Lu Jianhua attended the seminar and delivered addresses. On invitation, Vice President Jiang Hong attended the seminar and delivered a theme speech.In celebration of the 10th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the Republic of South African and the People’ s Republic of China, the South Africa Government host the South Africa Investment Seminar in Beijing, the intended purpose of the investment seminar to further promote economic and trade cooperation between China and South Africa, promoting mutual investment between the two countries, realize common development. As the only invited speaker on behalf of Chinese enterprise, Vice President Jiang Hong delivered a speech titled “Investment in South Africa, Harmonious Development”.
During the seminar, Vice President Jiang Hong met with Mr. Moloto, Premier of Limpopo Province of the Republic of South Africa. He said that the joint venture between Sinosteel and Limpopo province has been more than 10 years, Sinosteel attached great importance to the partnership between the two parties, expressed his sincere gratitude to the support from Premier and government. Mr. Moloto expressed the government welcomes to investment of Sinosteel in Limpopo province and continued its support on the business development.
