Sinosteel’s Overall Production and Operation Started well in the First Quarter Various Work in Reform and Development Executed Steadily

    This year, Sinosteel has focused on the enterprise reform and development, and pushed ahead with various development measures in accordance with the overall arrangement determined at the working meeting held at the beginning of the year. A good start is made in general. In the first quarter, the market share of main products kept stable;   three-expense control has made remarkable result; the risk management and control ability has been strengthened; the production and operation run smoothly; the economic returns were better than the expectation; all works have achieved positive results.  

     The leadership has made look-ahead and above-normal planning on the focal points of work, researched and formulated systematically reform and development plans on reducing losses and increasing profits, and led related teams to investigate and survey in enterprise intensively to help business divisions and affiliated enterprises solve development problems and positively seek for development opportunities. In order to further clarify the annual operating goals and tasks, 2013 annual work conference, based on the central task of company reform and development, has explicitly proposed to focus on two key works and achieve breakthroughs in six aspects, and comprehensively deployed various key works in operation and management throughout the year. To promote the realization of the annual operating goals further and strengthen the assessment-oriented incentive, Sinosteel Corp. signed letters of responsibilities on 2013 annual performance evaluation in various levels in the middle of March. Sinosteel has issued 2013 Key Tasks Decomposition Table in succession and paid close attention to the decomposition and implementation of a variety of key tasks. All business divisions and affiliated enterprises have detailed further the implementation measures so as to boost the enterprise development quality constantly. The majority of enterprises have completed quarterly targets perfectly. 

     This year is crucial for the reform and development of Sinosteel. The company has formulated the overall plan on reform and development, specified the train of thought, implementation path and key measures, and put forward the idea of “three steps in three years”, i.e. achieve the business growth and win space for development in the first year; accelerate industrial cultivation and build up development fulcrums in the second year; promote the transformation and upgrading and enhance the development potential in the third year. Meanwhile, the company has developed the reform and development roadmap and the arrangement of key works. 

     Currently, Sinosteel is sparing no effort to promote the program implementation, and constantly promote the healthy and stable development.
