On Nov. 22, Sinosteel and Minmentals Yingkou Medium Plate Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Yingkou. Yingkou mayor Mr. Zhao Huaming and secretary-general of the municipal government Mr. Gao Zuoping attended the signing ceremony. Sinosteel president Mr. Huang Tianwen and chairman of Minmentals Yingkou Medium Plate Mr. Li Mingke signed the agreement on behalf of each party. On the signing ceremony, Sinosteel Trading general manager Mr. Li Yi signed the iron ore supply & purchase agreement with the general manager of Minmentals Yingkou Medium Plate Mr. Zhao Song.Vice president Mr. Dong Zhixiong and other leaders attended the signing ceremony. Before the signing ceremony, the delegation led by Mr. Huang Tianwen also visited Minmentals Yingkou Medium Plate Co., Ltd. and held a discussion with chairman Mr. Li Mingke on consolidating strategic cooperation, making up each other's shortcomings and win-win. During the meeting with mayor Mr. Zhao Huaming, president Huang made a brief introduction on the current situation of Sinosteel operation, reform and development. They also communicated on exerting Yingkou regional advantages, catching the opportunity of activating the old northeast industrial base and the development of Bohai Sea Economic Zone, expanding communication and cooperation and promoting the economic prosperity of both the central enterprise and the area. Established in June 2002, Minmetals Yingkou Plate Co., Ltd. is invested by Yingkou Medium Plate Plant, China Minmetals Group and five private enterprises with 1,419 employees, covering 2.3 million m2. The total capital is 5 billion RMB, registered capital 600 million RMB. The annual production capacity is 1.5 million tons.
