On the morning of October 15, Chairman Huang Tianwen met with Mr. Chen Yuancheng, GM of China Steel Corporation and his delegation. The two parties exchanged views on cooperative issues.
Chairman Huang briefly reviewed mutual cooperation in recent years and expressed that along with the improvement of cross-strait relations, the contact and partnership between China Steel and Sinosteel had been strengthened. Sinosteel attached importance to the mutual cooperation and hoped it would flourish in width and depth, which may contribute to the peaceful development cross-strait and the stronger competitiveness of Chinese enterprises.
Mr. Chen expressed admiration for Sinosteel‘s achievements in recent years and set high value on its globalization strategy. He believed that Sinosteel had great advantages on global resources development, and the cooperation between Sinosteel and China Steel could be expanded in prospects of metallurgical resources and ferroalloy. The cooperation between iron and steel facilitator and producer would further exert their comparative advantages and effectively enhance their core competitiveness.
Before the meeting, Mr. Chen and his delegation visited Sinosteel Exhibition Hall and left an inscription of “Eyes opened! We expect next cooperation”.
