The starting ceremony of “brand promotion” tour initiated by Ministry of Commerce was held in Beijing at 10am June 11, 2006 to open up a long tour on promoting China's self-made brands. Bo Xilai, Minister of Commerce addressed to the ceremony. Gu Xiulian, deputy chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, set the start order. Altogether 3,000 people participated in the starting ceremony. As one representative of the central enterprises, Sinosteel has sent a delegation attending the starting ceremony.
