On September 4, Sinosteel and Jilin SASAC signed the frame agreement of recombination of Jilin Carbon. Governor of Jilin Mr. Wang Min, assistant of governor of Jilin, director of Jilin SASAC Mr. Wang Zuji and Sinosteel president Mr. Huang Tianwen attended the signing ceremony. Sinosteel vice president Mr. Wang Zhenwu and vice director of Jilin SASAC Mr. Xiao Wanmin signed on the agreement on behalf of each party. According to the agreement, Sinosteel would utilize its domestic and international marketing advantages, advanced managing experience, perfect operating system and solid capital strength to recombine Jilin Carbon, to further integrate Jilin Carbon with some domestic companies in the industry, so as to straighten steel production chain and to promote Chinese carbon industry.
Sinosteel’s recombination of Jilin Carbon is a meaningful exploration and practice of integration of central and local enterprise to promote co-development and to realize mutual benefit and win-win. This is good not only for the complementation of capital, management, production and market and promoting the self-developing capability and international competence, but also the inflation proof of central and local state-owned assets, and promote the related industries in Jilin Province and the whole northeast area, so as to realize local economic prosperity and the old northeast industrial base.
