May 5th, Vice-president Jiang Hong met with Mr. Mosa Mabuza, Deputy Director-general of Department of Mineral Resources of South Africa at Sinosteel headquarters, and the two parties conducted friendly talks.
Vice-president Jiang stated that Sinosteel, as one of the Chinese enterprises that first invested in South Africa, has long been operating with the concept of equality, mutual benefit, cooperation and win-win. Sinosteel is willing to cooperate with all walks of life of South Africa, contributing to the cooperation of the two countries.
Deputy Director-general Mr. Mosa Mabuza stated that Sinosteel achieved significant footsteps in South Africa in recent 10 years, the government of South Africa welcomes investments from Chinese enterprises like Sinosteel, and will provide supports to Sinosteel as always.
Ms. Ma Li, director of Department of Foreign Affairs Asia and Africa, NDRC and Mr. Paul Siljeur, Commercial Counselor of South Africa Embassy accompanied the visit.
Heads of related functional departments and specialized companies attended the meeting.
