To promote the economical communication and cooperation across the strait, as well as practicing the strategic cooperation agreement with the related Taiwan enterprises, president Huang led the delegation to investigate future business opportunities from May 6th to May 15th. The leaders of SASAC and Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council also joined the visit.
Sinosteel has been actively promoting the exchanges and cooperation of iron and steel industry across the strait, communicating with E-United Group, China Steel Corporation etc. and formed a sound interactive mechanism and communication platform. With the constant improvement of the cross strait relationship, Chairman of E-United Group Mr. Lin Yishou visited Sinosteel in this Feb. while Chairman of China Steel Corporation Mr. Zhang Jiazhu visited Sinosteel in April, reaching common agreement on the cooperative measures in combating the financial crisis. On the basis of this cooperation mechanism, president Huang visited Taiwan again this time after the visit of 2007.
During the visit, the delegation visited Taiwan enterprises i.e. Formosa Plastics Group, TCC International Holdings, Walsin Lihwa, E-United Group, China Steel Corporation etc. and the industrial institutions. During the visit, the delegation conducted broad communication with all walks of life of Taiwan and exchanged the development condition of industries, looking forward into future cooperation.
Moreover, the delegation visited Taipei 101 especially the office rent by Sinosteel’s subsidiary within Taipei 101, accompanied by Mr. Lin Hongming, GM of Taipei Financial Tower Limited.
Secretary of the Board of Directors of Sinosteel Corporation Limited Mr. Li Kejie and heads of other functional departments and overseas operations also accompanied the visit.
