Nov. 3, 2009, the SASAC Central Enterprise Conference on CSR was grandly held at Media Center in Beijing. The conference concluded the effective experiences of central enterprises’ CSR works, and announced the result for the 2009 “Central Enterprise CSR Best Practice” case collection.
The two cases of Sinosteel Corporation, namely “Support SMEs through Sci-Tech Services” and “Act locally, serve the communities, be a responsible Chinese enterprise” were elected from 135 cases, and was awarded as “Outstanding Responsible Case”. Moreover, Sinosteel displayed the “Overseas CSR practice” video in the conference as one of the 6 model central enterprises in the field of CSR, introducing the overseas practice and delivered a reflection.
