On the morning of August 23, the two parties held a formal meeting. The attendees of Baosteel including Chairman Xu Lejiang, President Ai Baojun, Vice President Fu Zhongzhe and heads of Strategic Development Dept., Engineering & Equipment Dept., Material Spare Part Purchasing Dept., Raw Material Purchasing Center, Sell Center, Research Center, subsidiaries, and Baosteel Trading. The attendees of Sinosteel including President Huang Tianwen, Vice President Jiang Hong, and heads of functional departments, related specialized companies, regional companies, scientific & technological companies, and production companies.
Hosted by Xu Lejiang, Chairman of Baosteel. President Ai Baojun introduced the basic work of Baosteel, reviewed on the existing cooperation between Sinosteel and Baosteel, and brought forward tentative ideas in further cooperation. Sinosteel President Huang introduced on Sinosteel’s corporation orientation, developing strategy, organizational structure, industrialization revolution, operation development, and expressed the wishes on further strengthen all-round cooperation with Baosteel. Chairman Xu Lejiang said that Sinosteel is no longer what it was before, especially soon developed in the recent three years, with a clear strategic orientation, Sinosteel have a bright and extensive future. There is no strategically impact between the two parties, they have a nature condition of cooperation. Baosteel need all around cooperation with Sinosteel in its developing.
On the afternoon of August 23, President Huang and his delegation also visited Baosteel raw material wharf, the fourth blast furnace, steel-making mill, thick board mill, and 2030 sheet metal mill. This visitation was successfully completely.
