General manager Xu Siwei visited and made inspection research to parts of Sinosteel enterprises overseas in Africa and Singapore

    On April 21-30th , a group of delegations headed by general manager Xu Siwei visited and made inspection research to parts of Sinosteel enterprises overseas in Africa and Singapore. They checked the implementation achievements of turning around measures to speed up the grounding of the cooperation’s strategic target as“ three steps in three years”. They met with people as Zimbabwe's vice president Joyce Mujuru,China's ambassador to South Africa, Tian xuejun ,Commercial counsellor in Zimbabwe and so on. Deputy general manager Gong Jingsheng has accompanied to participate in the survey. 

    On the morning of April 22th ,general manager Xu and his group members headed for the steel tower in South Africa right after their arrival in Johannesburg. They listened to the work report of branch offices as Sinosteel ASA, Sinosteel Samancor , Sinosteel South African respectively.Xu expressed his affirmation to the work done by Sinosteel African Representative Office and South African Companies. Xu stated that “Africa is a very important area as the bridge tower for all South African companies, so we should plan for a good long-term development of the enterprise in South Africa. All Sinosteel Companies in South Africa should play with their respective advantages and united to cooperate together to achieve and overfulfill the budget targets”. 

    On April 23-24th , general manager Xu and his group members drove for more than four hours to the site of company Sinosteel ASA and Sinosteel Samancor. They inspected the project of mines, smelters and waste heat power generation. After that a symposium with related problems as how to exploit potentialities and to improve the technical and economic indicators are held between the site management team and the delegations. 

    On the evening of April 24th , after the return to Johannesburg, Xu met with CEO of Samancor Company and discussed of the cooperation next step.After that ,Xu visited the staff houses and expressed his condolences to all expats.On behalf of the group, he thanks to their hard work. 

    During their visit in Zimbabwe from 25th to 27th April,Xu arranged his special visit for inspection to Sinosteel Zimbabwe Company,KuiKui Smelter, ShuLuKui Mineas well as newly buildSlag Recycling Plant, Sintering Plant and Concentrator. Followed they visited all the Chinese employees and listened to the work report of management team for both Chinese and foreign staffs. 

    After the report,Xu expressed his affirmation to the new Chromium group in Zimbabwe with regards to their efforts on planning for development ideas,planning for reform measures and profit policy.Four requirements are put forward meanwhile,specified : Confidante faith should be made first among the whole management team; Goals should be set followed with action,then work hard step by step to realized this goal from every aspect;Reform work should be promoted unswervingly for benefits;Pay more attention to the safety and health of all staffs and the fruits of reform and development should be shared with everyone.

    On the morning of April 27th, Xu and other delegations met with theVice President of Zimbabwe ,Joyce Mujuru, in capital Harare. Vice President ,Joyce Mujuru, extended cordial welcome to the visit of delegations and spoke highly of contributions done by Sinosteel to the development of economy and society in Zimbabwe. Xu described in details for the production and operation situation as well as the problems we are facing now with Sinosteel’s Chromium Industry in Zimbabwe. Xu said ,”Sinosteel will work hard to develop their enterprises in Zimbabwe insisting on the principle of win-win and try to contribute to the consolidation and strengthen of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.At the same time, we hope that Vice President can support Sinosteel’s Chromium industry in Zimbabwe as usual”. 

    On April 29th, general manager Xu and his delegations visited Sinosteel’s branch offices and arranged for the talk there in Singapore . They listened to the reports with regarding to budget completion, risk prevention and control measures, collaborative management, enterprise culture construction and so on.The victory achievements made by Singapore branch with their year’s prudent operation are affirmed on the meeting. Furthermore,the branch office should make full use of its unique geographical advantages and operating environment as well as his functions as logistics center and financing center to expand the business scope and enhance the capacity for sustainable development.
