President Huang Tianwen Attending the 16th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting

From November 22 to 23, the economic leaders' informal meeting of the 16th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation APEC forum held in the Peruvian capital Lima. President Huang Tianwen attended the forum and related activities.There were all 21 Economic Leaders or their representatives attended the forum; and carried out an in-depth discussion on world economic and financial situation, Doha Round of talks, food security, energy security, regional economic integration agenda, corporate social responsibility, climate change, reduce risks and be prepared for natural disasters. Chinese President Hu Jintao delivered keynote speeches. The APEC economic leaders' meeting, declared the theme of "A New Commitment to Asia-Pacific Development".

During the forum, President Huang Tianwen also met with leaders from China Iron and Steel Association, Baosteel, Bank of China, Rio Tinto and others, which had exchanged views on how to face of the global financial crisis, grasp new opportunities and realize new development of common concern.
